Diana Barraza oversees all aspects of accounting at WAFRT — from payroll and invoicing to managing escrow accounts and working directly with mortgage companies. She functions as the firm’s de facto controller, ensuring that every financial process runs smoothly and every dollar is accounted for.

With a CPA and MBA from Mexico, Diana has decades of financial expertise that she has successfully brought into the U.S. system through credit transfers and continued coursework, including ongoing tax preparation training. She is deeply knowledgeable, highly organized, and always ready to help — if she doesn’t know the answer, she’ll find it.

Diana was one of the first full-time employees hired at WAFRT and quickly became an essential part of the team. She values the close-knit environment and teamwork at WAFRT, especially after working in large corporations where she was just a piece of a bigger machine. At WAFRT, she works hand-in-hand with every department, insurance companies, and team members — something she finds both rewarding and empowering.

Originally from Mexico, Diana came to Texas 35 years ago and has been proud to call it home ever since. Now based in Boerne, she enjoys the small-town charm and loves having the city nearby when needed. Traveling is one of her greatest joys — especially with her three boys and her husband — and she has fond memories of exploring Europe and dreams of more adventures ahead.

Known as an open book, Diana’s warmth and honesty shine through in everything she does. Her personal motto is simple but powerful: “Life is hard.” Yet through every challenge, she remains positive, grounded, and deeply family-oriented — hoping one day to become a grandmother and see her family continue to grow.
